I can't say enough about the service Jeff provided. I had a collectable piece of artwork that I wanted to have professionally framed rather than purchasing a stock frame at a local craft store. It was especially important to have it framed using UV glass to preserve the image from sunlight. By luck I came across The Rabbet Hole as I searched for framing shops in the area. From the moment I stepped into his shop, Jeff provided friendly, professional service. He actively sought my input and provided his expertise when it came to frame options, mat options, and color schemes. I was particularly impressed with how Jeff handled my piece, wearing gloves and taking every precaution to ensure that it remained safe and secure as we considered different frame options and mat colors. We had such a wonderful first experience with Jeff at The Rabbet Hole! We had a large print (28 x 40) that we wanted framed and stopped into the shop to talk it over with him. Jeff is totally meticulous, handling our piece with gloves and making sure that it was treated and stored with the utmost care. His pricing was totally transparent (as seems to be rarely the case with custom framing jobs), and he walked us through an itemized estimate of the cost of each aspect of the project (as well as why he considered it appropriate) before starting work. He even came to our house and hung the picture for us, working with tape and a level to ensure that it occupied its final home according to his professional standards. I had a uniquely sized piece that needed framing and I knew an off-the-shelf option wasn't going to cut it. Jeff at The Rabbet Hole seamlessly handled the project. I am so pleased with the framing of my mother's 100 year old baptismal certificate. Jeff took extreme care with the delicate document, wearing gloves while handling and stabilizing creases. He spent a good amount of time with me choosing matting and frame, never rushing any decisions and offering suggestions on style and preservation glass, all the while explaining how he would proceed. The mounting eliminated many of the creases and folds in the document to give the finished product a very professional look. Thank you Jeff and Rabbet Hole.
